CHUOKU titanium-coated end mill

Description

Titanium-Coated End Mill CHUOKU HSS 2-Flute — Longer Life, Faster on Steel

The CHUOKU titanium-nitride (TiN) coated 2-flute HSS end mill has a gold TiN surface that reduces friction and heat, so the cutting edge resists wear, cuts faster, and lasts longer than an uncoated HSS end mill. Ideal for slotting, side milling, and finishing mild and alloy steel. Available from φ2 to φ20 mm. Supplied by BOWMAP Industry & Tooling, Samut Prakan.

Use cases

  • Slotting, side milling, and finishing mild and alloy steel
  • Work needing higher cutting speeds than uncoated HSS
  • Milling on machines and CNC where tool life matters
  • Mould work and milling that needs a clean surface
  • 2-flute geometry for slotting and chip-heavy materials

Compatibility

Match the shank size (6/10/12/16 mm by cutter size) to your collet or holder. A 2-flute cutter has wide flutes for chip clearance, good for slotting and chip-heavy work. The TiN coating allows higher cutting speeds, but still use coolant and set feed rates to the material.

FAQ

What does the titanium (TiN) coating do?

The gold TiN coating is very hard and reduces friction between the edge and the workpiece, lowering heat and wear. That lets the cutter run faster and last longer than an uncoated HSS end mill — especially when milling mild and alloy steel.

Should I choose 2-flute or 4-flute?

A 2-flute end mill has wide flutes for chip clearance — good for slotting and chip-heavy materials like aluminium and deep cuts. A 4-flute gives a smoother finish and steadier cut for finishing steel. Choose by the job.

What sizes are available?

From φ2 mm to φ20 mm, with the shank increasing by cutter size (e.g. φ2–φ6 have a 6 mm shank, φ7–φ10 a 10 mm shank, φ11–φ15 a 12 mm shank), plus a ball-nose version. Tell BOWMAP the size you need to check stock.
